Our Teachers

Miss Laura - Principal

Laura has been dancing since she was two, owns Warwickshire Dance Academy (WDA) which she started 19 years ago. Passionate about dancing, she has numerous qualifications including her IDTA Licentiate in Ballet - the highest qualification you can obtain.

​

Miss Laura attended Pattisons College in Coventry and went on to dance professionally in Europe. Most of that time was spent dancing with a touring circus which she says was great fun.

Miss Sophie  - Head Teacher

Sophie has been dancing since she was two years old and her dance teacher was our very own Miss Laura! She has been a teacher at Warwickshire Dance Academy for 16 years. She always tries to make lessons fun and loves teaching dance. She has gained all her qualifications in Ballet, Tap & Freestyle.

Miss Sophie has  performed at some very prestigious places such as Disneyland Paris, Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, Sadlers Wells Theatre in London and Birmingham Hippodrome.

Miss Sophie B - Teacher

Sophie started dancing when she was 3. It was while studying A-level dance and helping out at dance classes that she realised her heart belonged to teaching dance.

​

Miss Sophie has been teaching dance to all ages for several years at Warwickshire Dance Academy and has performed in various places that include Birmingham Hippodrome, Her Majesty's Theatre London and Disneyland Paris.

Miss Dani - Teacher

Dani has been dancing since the age of 3 years old and has taken part in many shows and competitions.

​

Dani trained at Stratford College and gained a National Diploma in Dance.

​

After taking a break in professional dancing to have a family, Dani is putting her dancing shoes back on and is now teaching for WDA in a variety of dance style classes!

Miss Kelly - Teacher

Miss Kelly has been dancing Tap, Ballet, Jazz & other styles since she was 3 years old, taking part in various exams, shows and festivals growing up. When she was 16 she went to Performers College and completed a foundation course & Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre.

 

Since graduating, she performs in various contracts in UK hotels, in professional pantomimes at home & abroad & is currently touring the UK in holiday parks singing & dancing in tribute shows.

Kelly loves the WDA & babyballet family atmosphere! She loves teaching our amazing dancers, especially Tap & Jazz.

Miss Rachel - Teacher

Rachel started dancing when she was 3 years old here at wda, she continued to dance here until she was 17. She then went on to study at Phil Winstons Theatreworks, in Blackpool, where she graduated as a professional dancer and fully qualified dance teacher, with level 4 diplomas in ballet and modern jazz all at distinction level.  

 

Rachel has performed in many shows and events up and down the country, such as: Disney land Paris, her majesty’s theatre, a variety show working alongside Jason Manford, she’s been a backing dancer for Sheridan smith, and performed on multiple west end stages. 

 

Rachel is currently still dancing for company’s and events here in the uk, aswell as teaching for the school where it all started for her.
